I have always looked at ways to break the stigma surrounding transgender people and in 2012 I intend to carry on with my mission. I am always grateful for all the support I receive from people and take the criticism with a pinch of salt. Without critics, I don’t think that I would have carried on raising awareness for trans people as they make me more determined to prove my point so I thank you all, please keep it up.
First Transgender Model in Midweek Sport
I was asked by the Sunday Sport if I will do a topless shoot for the paper. My first reaction was NO! I didn’t want to get involved in negative publicity and based on the papers reputation I felt that I wouldn’t get the sort of exposure that I wanted. I figured it would just be another sensationalized article making me appear freakish. I then thought about an angle that would work for me and after numerous conversations with the paper they agreed to simply publish me as one of their models that happen to be transgender. This was a unique angle and one that the paper has never done before so I agreed to do a topless shoot for them.
I am pleased that the paper agreed to the conditions, Transgender Woman are beautiful and should be allowed to appear in the media as transgender models. Transgender people should be allowed to take part in beauty competitions and advertising without stigma. I want to make it clear that I am not condoning topless modelling in tabloid press and, so called, “Lads Mags” as a way for all transgender women to get accepted in society. I happen to be an established model and it has taken me many years to be accepted as a transgender model.
There are hundreds of transgender people around the world from all walks of life: doctors, lawyers, actors and sports people just to name a few that are making a fantastic contribution towards equality and raising positive awareness for Trans people. I happen to be known as a model and this is what I use to get my point across. Being a model is only a small part of who I am, I am a business woman that makes a contribution to society, I am also involved in a program where I will be attending schools to speak to children about being transgender. I believe educating children at a young age will bring understanding, prevent bullying and reduce suicide.
There are thousands of woman trying to get into the “Sunday Sport” paper as one of their “Babes” as this is a great platform to launch a modelling career and where a lot of successful models started. I feel that this is a great opportunity for me to show that transgender women are beautiful and feminine.
The Sunday Sport will reveal me as one of their models on the 18th January 2012.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.
Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2012 elections.

I first met David, I think it was 1980, when a friend of mine and my then-girlfriend Leslie Wimmer invited us to a mysterious “party.” Leslie quickly figured out that it was nothing more than an Amway party. As it turned out, this was no Middle American Amway party. When we entered the Parsons home, we found what could only be described as a punk rock family. Husband, wife, and three kids trying to raise money for their magazine, Mouth of the Rat.
In 1980, Mouth of the Rat was pretty unique. Besides articles by the whole family and striking layout by Dave, the Mouth of the Rat told the tale of growing up in god-forsaken Boca Raton, Florida and being into punk rock.
Dave and his wife, Fish or Sam as she was alternately called, became fixtures on the local music scene. Things were not always good between them and for a while Dave lived out of the back of our store, Open Books and Records, while producing Mouth of the Rat.
Dave loved The Clash and made frequent visits to New York to see them. He finally stayed and somehow opened up a record store called Ratcage Records. Ratcage became a focal point for the New York City punk scene. Ratcage released a number of records including the first two Beastie Boys records.
Financial and personal problems got the best of him and he bolted from New York to New Orleans in 1986.
I had moved to New York in 1985 and would sporadically receive news of his exploits. He had been performing mime and doing a Charlie Chaplin impersonation on the streets of New Orleans when an Italian film crew (that was doing a documentary on American street performers) filmed him and then asked him to come to Italy to “be” Charlie at their film premier.
When the Italian gig was over, Dave decided to tour Europe by train and, refused entry to France, ended up in Switzerland where they adore Charlie Chaplin. He became quite famous there, even doing Charlie for the Chaplin family’s Charlie Chaplin Festivals.
Then one day in November of 2001 as I was sitting in my store, See Hear Fanzines Magazines & Books, in walks this “woman” with a ukulele who says, “Hi Ted, what you been up to?” It’s Dave! But no, she says she is now Day-Z. So I pulled out my uke, which I had recently started to play, and as they say, the rest is history.
Me and my housemate who also had just picked up the ukulele, jammed with Day-Z and we ended up sitting in with her at her December 1, 2001 CBGB show. We also recorded with her that week. Our band, Sonic Uke was born.
In the next two years we performed with her whenever she came to town. She kept changing her name. Day-Z, DAZE, and then finally she had it legally changed to Donna Lee Parsons. That’s not all she changed. In the summer of 2003 she went to Thailand and had a sex change after the Beastie Boys paid her royalties on the records she put out so long ago.
She came back to New York a new woman but the surgery weakened her and her cancer that had been in remission came back with a vengeance. Donna died in a Swiss hospital on September 23, 2003.
Donna stirred shit up wherever she went. She was quite the catalyst. She will be missed.

I have been researching the subject of Elenin and Nibiru for many months, lost time with the obsession of the end of time to the point that I can no longer sleep. Fear is the thing that drives us to madness, the unknown, the unexplained and seeking the truth. The earth and every creature on it will experience an amazing change and shift in reality over the next few months. There is a lot being said on the Internet about Elenin and Nibru and I have done a lot of research over the last few weeks, I don’t believe that Elenin is an extinction event but that it is a warning instead. I have found this paper that I think makes a lot of sense, please go to this attached link, read and do your own research. I am not saying that this is what is going on but I found it to be a good material to stimulate thinking and research.
On 17 June, the UN human rights council passed a resolution in favour of the rights of lesbians, bisexuals, gay men and trans people; the coalition that opposed this included Russia, Pakistan and Nigeria. And, of course, the Catholic church.
In the aftermath of that historic victory, a couple of US Catholic NGOs distributed a 2009 paper produced by three Catholic bioethicists – Richard Fitzgibbons, Philip Sutton and Dale O’Leary – from the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute. Their paper The Psychopathology of “Sex Reassignment” Surgery argues that trans people are mentally ill, and by implication need therapy not rights; it asserts that there is no evidence that trans identity, or indeed gay identity, is innate.
The motives behind the distribution may be to persuade the UN not to bother itself further with the rights of gay or trans people – surprisingly, one might think, given the astonishingly high worldwide murder statistics for the trans community in particular, and the number of states in which homosexuality carries the death penalty. The three doctors responsible for the paper are all committed anti-abortionists, but they are less voluble about the right to life of people who have actually been born.
For some Catholics – by no means all – human rights are best defined as the right to do what the church says is God’s will. There is a tottery structure of circular logic to this: the church knows what the true purpose of human life and sexuality is, and it is to do what the church says. O’Leary, for example, has written papers arguing that feminism is a heretical movement – a liberation theology she says in the snippy tones of someone for whom that is a “bad thing”. (Her and her colleagues’ dislike of feminism does not, of course, preclude their quoting those feminists – such as the ex-nun Janice Raymond – who happen to dislike and defame trans people as much as they do.)
One might expect that a paper claiming to be peer reviewed would cite and engage with some studies that took a different view, but, oddly, this does not. Human rights should not depend on such things, but it is surprising that a paper saying there is no evidence that trans is in-born does not even mention various recent studies of brain structure, which would seem to indicate that, in some cases at least, it is. But then, both Sutton and Fitzgibbons appear to have a problem with evidence that contradicts them; both advocate, and Sutton practices, reparative therapy for gay men in the face of statements by, for example, the UK Council for Psychotherapy, which considers all such therapies to be unethical quackery.
Instead they cite a ragbag of anti-trans and anti-gay colleagues such as Ray Blanchard and George Socarides, much of whose work has been subjected to withering intellectual criticism, and not only from those it belittles and pathologises.
Many bioethicists are, of course, rationalists and utilitarians, whose work is based in a spirit of free intellectual enquiry; the three authors of this paper, though, are working from the cheat sheet of predetermined doctrine, and every argument that they come up with aims at a foregone conclusion.
One might expect that a paper being presented as a contribution to a discussion of human rights might avoid defamatory language, but instead this one talks of deception and of innate repulsiveness. If trans people pass we are immoral, predatory deceivers; if we don’t, we are pathetic failures. To a quite surprising extent, these three academic medical people reproduce a sanitised version of the trans panic defence often brought up in court by murderers. There are times, when reading their paper, when you find yourselves deeply sceptical that any of the three has actually ever encountered anyone trans outside a consulting room, if at all; there is no sense in their paper of the wonderful diversity and surprising level of talent I meet every day in the trans community.
But then, unlike Jesus, the hand-washing hypocrites who claim to follow him don’t have to hang out with actual people. The UN declaration is a thin piece of paper, but in a world in which trans and gay people are regularly beaten to death, raped with broom handles and left dismembered in garbage heaps, it is the only protection some of us have. And the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute clearly wants to take it back – which is not a very good definition either of bioethics or of Christian loving kindness.

Every day in my counseling office, I hear women say some variation of this:
“In the last few years, I have had relationships with men who, at first, seemed perfect for me. They were attentive, attractive and fun to be around. Then suddenly, as if they knew they had reeled me in, they stopped trying.

Gender dysphoria is a word that I haven’t heard till I was in my twenties, when I grew up there was no name in South Africa for this condition. My family today admit that they knew that there was something different about me all the time. The overwhelming feeling that you in the wrong body is hard to explain to people, there is not a lot of comparisons that I know about out there that can explain this complex condition.
I am in the process of advising a family with a child that suffer from gender dysphoria, there is no dough in my mind that the child was born in the wrong body, her parents have tried every possible avenue to steer their child in the direction of the sex that they were born in but with no success. In some cases this process is as traumatic for the parents as it is for the child and I recommend counselling for the parents as the first step in getting help for the child, when the parents understand gender dysporia they will be in a better situation to assist their child.
The next step will obviously be for the child to get counselling and for a professional to recommend the best plan of action to deal with the child, this usually consist of counselling for both the parents and child.
Gender dysphoria also known as Gender identity disorder is a psychiatric classification, GID is not medically classified as a mental illness. Gender Identity disorder in children are considered to always have been there, children are not really aware of the differences in their sexuality till they get to a later age that they define a clear gender preference. Ultimately the only solution is to bring the body in line with the mind and not the other way around; as this is not possible.

Twenty Twenty Television are making a new documentary series about gender transition. We want to make this series a modern piece of television that explores the many and varied realities of being trans in Britain today — from the day-to-day challenges of facing prejudice to the joys of realising an individual identity.
The basic idea is that we intend to follow several trans individuals this summer as they embark upon various stages of their transition, be that emotional, social, physical or medical. We want each of our characters to experience transition in a new way; by having the support of other trans people. It’s clear that many trans people in the UK feel isolated by society’s reaction to their identities and use the internet to reach out to others for advice, support and a community.
In our efforts to get the tone of our series right, we’ve been consulting leading charities and organisations over the last few months, including F to M London, Trans Media Watch and GIRES. They continue to support our programme.

I am deeply upset that this man only had a £100 fine for posting these stickers. There is enough hate toward gay people in the UK and a £100 won’t stop anyone from repeating this hate crime.
Man fined for east London ‘gay free zone’ stickers
Homophobic stickers appeared in four locations in east London
A man has been fined after pleading guilty to putting up homophobic stickers in east London.
Mohammed Hasnath, 18, of Leamouth, Tower Hamlets, was fined £100 for the public order offence relating to using threatening words and behaviour.
Four stickers with the message “gay free zone” appeared at Bow Church DLR station, Whitechapel and on a bus, between 11 and 14 February.
Westminster magistrates’ court also ruled Hasnath should pay £85 costs.
In February, a group of residents countered the stickers by replacing the words “gay free zone” with “love”.
Nicolas Chinardet, 36, who was among the group that changed the stickers, said he thought that Hasnath’s punishment was fair.
“He is just a pawn, he is not the person responsible for it all,” Mr Chinardet said.
“I felt sadness, frustration and disappointment that people can do something like that. I was not angry.”
Religious groups, including the Muslim Council of Britain and the East London Mosque, also condemned the stickers, which appeared to reference the Kora
I have seen a few products on the market that can guide Transsexual or Transgender people on how to pass as a woman. One of the members of my support group sent me a link to this amazing program and I was impressed to see the difference it has made to her. Being feminine is not just looking like a female and I have to stress that looking like a female and being one are totally different, I wont go into to much detail about this and being transgender or transsexual needs a lot more than just looking like a woman. This is great program for people that needs guidance and therefore I am promoting it. I had a great response from people after doing an interview on the OMG Show with Peaches Geldof. Some feedback was bad but overall I am pleased with the outcome.
I wanted to paint a good picture for Transgender people and show that we are normal people, we have hopes, dreams and can achieve success in society after having medical correction to turn you into the sex you were born to be.
Transgender People make a large contribution to society and most of them go undetected and live normal lives in society without people knowing who they are. I have taken a great risk in exposing myself, my life and that of my husband, but it is a risk worth taking. I would like to change the perception that people have of transgender people.
There is a few transgender people that don’t approve of the things I say and do and I respect that, but there is nothing off limits with me, I was born as a girl but for people to understand the principal you have to refer to the sex that you were born in, it is easier for people to understand that you were born in the wrong body than trying to explain the complex-ed situation behind being transgender.
I will continue to spread a good and positive message about transgender people and hope that what I do will make a diffrance no matter how small.
